Ras Tafari Talmud could be basically translated as The Teaching of Ras Tafari, properly Ras Tefferi (ራስ ተፈሪ), in Amharic (Amarəñña [አማርኛ]: a Semitic language spoken in Ethiopia; The second-most spoken Semitic language in the world).
The Amharic word Ras (Head; in some senses a Field Marshal; Traditionally often equivalent to the rank of Duke) is both a noun, in the grammatical sense, and a Ethiopian Title of Nobility.
There is a remarkable etymological linguistic congruency between the Amharic word Ras and the Hebrew word Rosh ([ראש]: Beginning; “First” in a chronological sense [i.e. Rosh Khodesh {ראש חודש‎}; First Day of The Month-Hebrew Lunar Calendar]).
The Amharic word Tefferi is the nominal form of the Amharic word tefera ([ተፈራ]: be feared; be reverenced). It is interesting to note the Hebrew word yera ([יָרֵא]: to fear, be afraid, to stand in awe of, to be awed, reverenced, honored, respected).

Therefore, Ras Tafari would be rightfully understood as, both, “Head to be Feared/Reverenced” and as one of the particular titles belonging to Qedamawi Haile Sellassie ([ቀዳማዊ ኃይለ ሥላሴ]:”First Power of The Trinity”; popularly referred to as His Imperial Majesty [Germawi ግርማዊ; His Majesty] Haile Selassie I and often by the acronym H.I.M.).

The Hebrew word Talmūd ([תַּלְמוּד]: instruction; learning) may be translated as fundamental education, applied scholarship, meditative interpretation and inspired exposition based on Torah (תּוֹרָה)/Orit (ኦሪት)/Books of Moses (5 or 8 books depending on orientation), Nebi’im (נביאים)/Nebiyat (ነብያት)/The Books of Hebrew Prophets and Ketubim (כְּתוּבִים)/The Hebrew Writings, collectively known as Tanakh (ְ‎תַּנַ”ךְ‎)/B’luy’ Kidan (ብሉይ ኪዳን)/Old Testament.
Thus, Rastafari Talmud properly translated at a higher degree of comprehension would be refined instruction received through diligently learning The Teaching of the Head to be Reverenced in the person of H.I.M. Haile Sellassie I, Ras Tafari, by way of study and practice as well as a continuous process of refuting and reproving any concepts that are not in accordance with the precepts thereof.
In the Hebrew tradition, Talmud becomes refined through Mishnah ([משנה]: “repetition”; to study and review; written redaction of the oral traditions) and Gemara ([גמרא]: to study; learning by tradition; the component of the Talmud comprising rabbinical analysis of and commentary on the Mishnah).

Being that H.I.M. Haile Sellassie I, as Father, has given revelation to The Sons and Daughters of Rastafari, by the guidance of The Holy Spirit/Ruwakh Qodesh (רוּחַ קֹדֶשׁ)/Menfes Qidus (መንፈስ ቅዱስ) in and through His Only Begotten Son Eyesus Kristos (ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ)/Yeshua HaMoshiYAH (ישוע המשיח) the New Covenant/Brit Khadashah (חָדָש בְּרִית)/Addis Kidan (አዲስ ኪዳን), as an integral part of The Holy Bible/Mets’Hafe Qidus (መጽሐፍ ቅዱስ), becomes indispensable in Rastafari Talmud, within the doctrine of Tewahedo/Miaphysite ([ተዋሕዶ]: belief in the one single unified Nature of Christ; a belief that a complete, natural union of the Divine and Human Natures into One is self-evident in order to accomplish the divine salvation of humankind) Haimanot (ሃይማኖት; Living Faith).

Also, Rastafari Talmud sites the ultimate authority of Qedamawi Haile Selassie in seeking greater insight from ancient Ethiopic/Coptic text such as Kebra Negast (ክብረ ነገሥት) “Glory of Kings” and other ancient Ethiopic/Ge’ez (ግዕዝ:an ancient South Semitic language that originated in the northern region of Ethiopia and southern Eritrea) manuscripts (i.e. Gedla Adam (ገድላ አዳም) “The Combat of Adam and Even Against Satan” and Mets’Hafe Henok (መጽሐፍ ሄኖክ) “Book of Enoch”.

Rastafari Talmud must not be misconstrued as mere academic pursuit of scriptural knowledge, for the sake of superficial intellectual vanity or sport. Neither can the luxury of pharisaical self-indulgences that unavoidably manifest eminent corruption be afforded. On the contrary, the knowledge gained from The Teachings of H.I.M. should be received as blessings, by all whom are able and willing, to be practically applied, through example, by way of proper code of moral conduct (halakha הֲלָכָה/makahed ማካሄድ) on a willingly cooperative individual and communal basis. Defining and adhering to Halakha would serve to greatly benefit The Rastafari movement, by establishing an acceptable and progressively sustainable mesorah (מסורה [defined as transmission of a (religious) tradition]) or “trod”. By doing do it becomes possible to unify the many Mansions within Rastafari and further a harmonious existence, within divine order, while promoting a lifestyle consciously focused on the triune well-being of mind/soul/body amongst all of humanity.
