Qedamawi Haile Sellassie King of Righteousness (Melki-Tzedek/מַלְכִּי־צֶדֶק) Conquering Lion of The Tribe of Judah upon the Throne of David
Genesis 49:8 Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father’s children shall bow down before thee.
9 Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

In The Name of The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit.
1 Kings 2:1 Now the days of David drew nigh that he should die; and he charged Solomon his son, saying,
2 I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, and shew thyself a man;
3 And keep the charge of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself:
4 That the Lord may continue his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said he) a man on the throne of Israel.
5 Moreover thou knowest also what Joab the son of Zeruiah did to me, and what he did to the two captains of the hosts of Israel, unto Abner the son of Ner, and unto Amasa the son of Jether, whom he slew, and shed the blood of war in peace, and put the blood of war upon his girdle that was about his loins, and in his shoes that were on his feet.
6 Do therefore according to thy wisdom, and let not his hoar head go down to the grave in peace.
7 But shew kindness unto the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, and let them be of those that eat at thy table: for so they came to me when I fled because of Absalom thy brother.
8 And, behold, thou hast with thee Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite of Bahurim, which cursed me with a grievous curse in the day when I went to Mahanaim: but he came down to meet me at Jordan, and I sware to him by the Lord, saying, I will not put thee to death with the sword.
9 Now therefore hold him not guiltless: for thou art a wise man, and knowest what thou oughtest to do unto him; but his hoar head bring thou down to the grave with blood.
10 So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David.
11 And the days that David reigned over Israel were forty years: seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.
12 Then sat Solomon upon the throne of David his father; and his kingdom was established greatly.

אֶת־כִּסֵּא דָוִד /The Throne of David/Throne of Qedamawi Haile Selassie I King of Israel! (Melek Yisrael/מֶלֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵל)

Also, We find in The Torah reading for parasha Wayyechi (NOTE:The word Torah (תּוֹרָה) comes from the root word yarah meaning “to shoot an arrow” or “to hit the mark.” Properly used it means teaching or instruction. Teaching is associated with The Holy Spirit/Ruakh HaKodesh (רוח הקודש) just as Yahweh taught Moses what to do and say. And it is clear that Yeshua Our Messiah assumed the title of Rabbi (refer to Hebrews 7) and performed much of the ministry as teacher (refer John 1:38).

Genesis 48:17 And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father’s hand, to remove it from Ephraim’s head unto Manasseh’s head.
18 And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head.
19 And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.
20 And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.

It is interesting that Qedamawi Haile Selassie “First Power of The Trinity/Person of The Father” upon The Throne of David fulfills Israel’s blessing through אֶפְרַיִם Ephraim “I shall be doubly fruitful” in Yeshua HaMashiakh/Eyesus Kristos by bringing in a multitude of nations (melo HaGoyim/מְלֹֽא־הַגֹּויִֽם, “Jew and Gentile”) into RasTafari. On the other hand, those of Israel,(racial or religious, whom refuse the Word (דָּבָר dabar) Testimony (עֵדָה edah) of H.I.M. whether out of ignorance, error or envy are as a similitude of מְנַשֶּׁה Manasseh “caused me to forget” “”..my Father’s House” Kol Bayith ABI כָּל־בֵּית אָבִֽי (see Genesis 41:51). The template of the younger being chosen by Yahweh again becomes evident as King Solomon’s younger son Menyelek, born by Queen Makeda, is preferred to renew The Tabernacle of David in Ethiopia rather than for the posterity of Israel to continue with King Solomon’s elder son Rehoboam. Confer with Wikipedia Source: In a brief, unelaborated, and enigmatic passage, the Hebrew Bible describes how the fame of Solomon’s wisdom and wealth spread far and wide, so much so that the queen of Sheba decided that she should meet him. The queen is described as visiting with a number of gifts including gold, spices and precious stones. When Solomon gave her “all her desire, whatsoever she asked,” she left satisfied (1 Kings 10:10).
Whether the passage is simply to provide a brief token, foreign witness of Solomon’s wealth and wisdom, or whether there is meant to be something more significant to the queen’s visit is unknown; nevertheless the visit of the Queen of Sheba has become the subject of numerous stories.
Sheba is typically identified as Saba, a nation once spanning the Red Sea on the coasts of what are now Eritrea, Somalia, Ethiopia and Yemen, in Arabia Felix. In a Rabbinical account (e.g. Targum Sheni), Solomon was accustomed to ordering the living creatures of the world to dance before him (Rabbinical accounts say that Solomon had been given control over all living things by Yahweh), but one day upon discovering that the mountain-cock or hoopoe (Hebrew name: shade) was absent, he summoned it to him, and the bird told him that it had been searching for somewhere new.
The bird had discovered a land in the east, exceedingly rich in gold, silver, and plants, whose capital was called Kitor and whose ruler was the Queen of Sheba, and the bird, on its own advice, was sent by Solomon to request the queen’s immediate attendance at Solomon’s court.
An Ethiopian account (Kebra Nagast) maintains that the Queen of Sheba had sexual relations with King Solomon (of which the Biblical and Quranic accounts give no hint) and gave birth by the Mai Bella stream in the province of Hamasien, Eritrea. The Ethiopian tradition has a detailed account of the affair. (See Queen of Sheba.)
The child was a son who went on to become Menelik I, King of Axum, and founded a dynasty that would reign as the Christian Empire of Ethiopia for 2900+ years (less one usurpation episode, an interval of ca. 133 years until a legitimate male heir regained the crown) until Haile Selassie was overthrown in 1974. Menelik was said to be a practising Jew who was given a replica of the Ark of the Covenant by King Solomon; and, moreover, that the original was switched and went to Axum with him and his mother, and is still there, guarded by a single priest charged with caring for the artifact as his life’s task.
The claim of such a lineage and of possession of the Ark has been an important source of legitimacy and prestige for the Ethiopian monarchy throughout the many centuries of its existence, and had important and lasting effects on Ethiopian culture as a whole. The Ethiopian government and church deny all requests to view the alleged ark.

The “alleged” possession of The Ark of The Covenant is based on both scholarly ignorance and a failure to grasp the symbolic significance of The Ark, or what it represents. In addition, the assertion that this “enigmatic passage” was included in The Bible to bear a “foreign witness” of King Solomon’s great wealth and wisdom is a logical fallacy. Although, The Great King Solomon has been known as “The Wisest King”, he strayed from Yahweh and fell in to sin (חַטָּאָת/Hatha’at) “missing the mark” for which he repented, as his life on this earth drew close to it’s appointed time. (Confer 5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
6 And Solomon did evil in the sight of the Lord, and went not fully after the Lord, as did David his father.
7 Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon.
8 And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense {see Joseph’s Divination Cup or RasTafari Chalice Article} and sacrificed unto their gods.)

Thus, divine omniscient providence (Yahweh Yireh/יְהֹוָה יִרְאֵה “Yahweh sees”) is revealed as The Ark of The Covenant (Arown HaBerith אָרוֹן הַבְּרִית‎), along with The Divine Presence שכינה/Shekinah was carried to Ethiopia, (ruled by Queen Makeda “Queen of Sheba” מַֽלְכַּת־שְׁבָא Melkah Sheba “Queen of The Oath” (refer also to Sheba שֶׁבַע I.seven (cardinal number), Solomon’s mother Bath Sheba בַּת־שֶׁבַע “daughter of an oath”, Beer Sheba בְּאֵר שֶׁבַע “well of the sevenfold oath” ) who turned away from pagan customs “in repentance” to Yahweh (more correctly returned “Teshubah/תשובה”) and faithfully kept Yahwheh’s Covenant, as King Solomon did not heed King David’s admonishment.
We need not speculate on the reason why The Ark of The Covenant was removed from the custody of King Solomon, as the evidence is found in biblical scripture. Moreover, the details, often denied on of account Eurocentric egoistic disorientation, are recorded in The Kebra Negast ክብረ ነገሥት “Glory of Kings”

And the Queen said, “From this moment I will not worship the sun, but will worship the Creator of the sun, the God of ISRAEL. And that Tabernacle of the God of ISRAEL shall be unto me my Lady, and unto my seed after me, and unto all my kingdoms that are under my dominion. And because of this I have found favour before thee, and before the God of ISRAEL my Creator, Who hath brought me unto thee, and hath made me to hear thy voice, and hath shown me thy face, and hath made me to understand thy commandment.” Then she returned to [her] house. Chapter 56. Of the Return of ZADOK the Priest, and the giving of the Gift
And when ZADOK the priest returned to SOLOMON the King he found him sorrowful. And the King answered and said unto ZADOK the priest, “When the Queen came there appeared to me by night this vision: It p. 85 seemed as if I were standing in the chamber of JERUSALEM, and the sun came down from heaven into the land of JUDAH, and lighted it up with great splendour. And having tarried a time it went down and lighted up the Country of ETHIOPIA, and it did not return to the land of JUDAH. And again the sun came down from heaven to the country of JUDAH, and lighted it up more brilliantly than it did the first time; but the ISRAELITES paid no heed to it, and they wished to extinguish its light. And it rose below the earth in a place where it was not expected, and it illumined the country of RÔM, and the country of ETHIOPIA, and afterwards all those who believed on it.”
And ZADOK the priest answered and said unto him, “O my lord, why didst thou not tell me before that thou hadst seen a vision of this kind? Thou makest my knees to tremble. Woe be unto us, if our sons have carried off our Lady, the holy, heavenly ZION, the Tabernacle of the Law of God!” And the King answered and said unto him, “Our wisdom is forgotten and our understanding is buried. Verily the sun that appeared unto me long ago when I was sleeping with the Queen of ETHIOPIA was the symbol of the holy ZION. But tell me: yesterday when thou didst take off the splendid covering that was lying upon ZION, didst thou not make certain that ZION was [there]?” And ZADOK the priest answered and said, “I did not, lord; it had three coverings over it, and I took off the outermost, and dressed ZION in the covering which thou didst give me, and I brought [the other] to thee.” And the King said unto ZADOK, “Go quickly and look at our Lady and examine her closely.” And ZADOK the priest took the keys, and went and opened the house of the sanctuary, and he examined [the place] quickly, and he found there nothing except the wooden boards which AZÂRYÂS had fastened together and had made to resemble the sides of the pedestal of ZION.

87. How the nobles (or governors) of ETHIOPIA took the oath
And the Queen said unto her nobles: “Speak ye now, and swear ye by the heavenly ZION that ye will not make women queens or set them upon the throne of the kingdom of ETHIOPIA, and that no one except the male seed of DAVID, the son of SOLOMON the King, shall ever reign over ETHIOPIA, and that ye will never make women queens.” And all the nobles of the king’s house swore, and the governors, and the councillors, and the administrators.
And she made ÊLMĔYÂS and ’AZÂRYÂS (AZARIAH) the chief of the priests and the chief of the deacons, and they made the kingdom anew, and the sons of the mighty men of ISRAEL performed the Law, together with their King DAVID, in the Tabernacle of Witness, and the kingdom was made anew. And the hearts of the people shone at the sight of ZION, the Tabernacle of the Law of God, and the people of ETHIOPIA cast aside their idols, and they worshipped their Creator, the God Who had made them. And the men of ETHIOPIA forsook their works, and loved the righteousness and justice that God loveth. They forsook their former fornications, and chose purity in the camp that was in the sight of the heavenly ZION. They forsook divination and magic, and chose repentance and tears for God’s sake. They forsook augury by means of birds and the use of omens, and they returned to hearken unto God and to make sacrifice unto Him. They p. 148 forsook the pleasures of the gods who were devils, and chose the service and praise of God. The daughters of JERUSALEM suffered disgrace, and the daughters of ETHIOPIA were held in honour; the daughter of JUDAH was sad, whilst the daughter of ETHIOPIA rejoiced; the mountains of ETHIOPIA rejoiced, and the mountains of LEBANON mourned. The people of ETHIOPIA were chosen [from] among idols and graven images, and the people of ISRAEL were rejected. The daughters of ZION were rejected, and the daughters of ETHIOPIA were honoured; the old men of ISRAEL became objects of contempt, and the old men of ETHIOPIA were honoured. For God accepted the peoples who had been cast away and rejected ISRAEL, for ZION was taken away from them and she came into the country of ETHIOPIA. For wheresoever God is pleased for her to dwell, there is her habitation, and where He is not pleased that she should dwell she dwelleth not; He is her founder, and Maker, and Builder, the Good God in the temple of His holiness, the habitation of His glory, with His Son and the Holy Spirit, for ever and ever. Amen.
And MÂKĔDÂ, the Queen of ETHIOPIA, gave the kingdom to her son DAVID, the son of SOLOMON, the King of ISRAEL, and she said unto him, “Take [the kingdom]. I have given [it] unto thee. I have made King him whom God hath made King, and I have chosen him whom God hath chosen as the keeper of His Pavilion. I am well pleased with him whom God hath been Pleased to make the envoy of the Tabernacle of His Covenant and His Law. I have magnified him whom God hath magnified [as] the director of His widows, and I have honoured him whom God hath honoured [as] the giver of food to orphans.”
And the King rose up and girded up his apparel, and he bowed low before his mother, and said unto her, “Thou art the Queen, O my Lady, and I will serve thee in every thing which thou commandest me, p. 149 whether it be to death or whether it be to life. Wheresoever thou sendest me I will be sent, and wheresoever thou orderest me to be there will I be, and whatsoever thou commandest me to do that will I do. For thou are the head and I am the foot, and thou art the Lady and I am thy slave; everything shall be performed according to thy order, and none shall transgress thy commandment, and I will do everything that thou wishest. But pray for me that the God of ISRAEL may deliver me from His wrath. For He will be wroth—according to what they tell us—if we do not make our hearts right to do His Will, and if we do not readily observe all His commands in respect to ZION, the habitation of the glory of God. For the Angel of His host is with us, who directed us and brought us hither, and he shall neither depart from us nor forsake us.
“And now, hearken unto me, O my Lady. If I and those who are after me behave rightly and do His Will, God shall dwell with us, and shall preserve us from all evil and from the hand of our enemy. But if we do not keep our hearts right with Him He will be wroth with us, and will turn away His face from us, and will punish us, and our enemies will plunder us, and fear and trembling shall come to us from the place whence we expect them not, and they will rise up against us, and will overcome us in war, and will destroy us. On the other hand, if we do the Will of God, and do what is right in respect of ZION, we shall become chosen men, and no one shall have the power to treat us evilly in the mountain of His holiness whilst His habitation is with us.
“And behold, we have brought with us the whole Law of the kingdom and the commandment of God, which ZADOK the high priest declared unto us when he anointed me with the oil of sovereignty in the house of the sanctuary of God, the horn of oil, which is the unguent of priesthood and royalty, being in his hand. p. 150 And he did unto us that which was written in the Law, and we were anointed; AZARIAH to the priesthood and I to the kingdom, and ’ALMĔYÂS, the mouth of God, keeper of the Law, that is to say, keeper of ZION, and the Ear of the King in every path of righteousness. And they commanded me that I should do nothing except under their advice, and they set us before the King and before the elders of ISRAEL, and all the people heard whilst ZADOK the priest was giving us the commands. And the horns and the organs were blown, and the sounds of their harps and musical instruments, and the noise of their outcries which were made at that time were in the gates of JERUSALEM. But what shall I tell unto you, O ye who were present there? It seemed to us that the earth quaked from her very foundations, and that the heavens above our heads thundered, and the heart trembled with the knees.”

Psalm 68:31 Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God.

In the haftarah, we find King David giving instruction to Solomon concerning the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, Joab and Shimei. In this we find exhortation to seek wisdom (חכמה/hokmah) through understanding (בינה/binah) by practicing mercy (חסד/hesed/”loving-kindness”) but not to be negligent of severity (גבורה/geburah), when encountering spiritual wickedness.
These dying counsels concerning Joab and Shimei, did not come from personal anger, but for the security of Solomon’s throne, which was the murders he had committed, but would readily repeat them to carry any purpose; though long reprieved, he shall be reckoned with at last. Time does not wear out the guilt of any sin, particularly of murder. Concerning Shimei (שִׁמְעִי “renown/heard of” from the root שֵׁמַע “to hear”), Hold him not guiltless; do not think him any true friend to thee, of thy government, or fit to be trusted; he has no less malice now than he had then. David’s dying sentiments are recorded, as delivered under the influence of the Holy Spirit, (2Sa 23:1 to 7). The Lord discovered to him the offices and the salvation of that glorious personage, the Messiah, whose coming he then foretold, and from whom he derived all his comforts and expectations. That passage gives a decided proof that David died under the influence of the Holy Spirit, in the exercise of faith and hope.(Excerpt from Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary on The Bible)
Do We Hear H.I.M. Haile Selassie I? “When a whole nation accepts and maintains a government in existence, it means that the nation recognizes that government. There is always something moving, brewing. There are ambitious people everywhere. Wicked people. The only thing to do is to deal with them with courage and decision. One must beware of uncertainty, weakness or conflicting emotions – they lead to defeat.”

The reoccurring theme against treachery is found in The Torah Portion Genesis 49: 5 Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations.
6 O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their self-will they digged down a wall.
7 Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.
Jacob was seeing with prophetic spirit not physical eyes. They are described as partners in crime who used their swords as instruments of violence. Undoubtedly, Jacob was thinking of the massacre at Shechem, which risked the existence of the entire family. Prophetically, Jacob understood that they were responsible for the kidnapping of Joseph, though he also foresaw the rise of Zimri, a prince of Simeon who lead the rebellion at Baal Peor, as well as Korah a prince of Levi who defied Moses authority. Note that he said they would be “scattered” in Israel. Jacob did not curse the tribes but rather their anger. Levi later “sanctified” it’s anger by becoming zealous for God and therefore they were given roles as attendant at the Tabernacle. The tribe of Simeon (שִׁמְעוֹן “heard” from the root שֵׁמַע Shema “to hear”), however, became virtually lost in Israel. (Excerpt from John J Parson’s Shabbat Table Talk at Hebrew4Christians)
Romans 12:17 Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all
Do we hear H.I.M. Haile Selassie I? “Therefore, when we say let us all rejoice with our hearts let not our rejoicing be in any other way but in the spirit of Christ. Do not return evil for evil. Do not indulge in the atrocities which the enemy has been practising in his usual way, even up to the last moment.”

Isaiah 42:6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;

In Verse 2 of the haftarah reading, Melek “King” David, speaks of “death” (muwth/מוּת) from a transcendental perspective stating “I go the way of all the earth”.
In Hebrew הֹלֵךְ בְּדֶרֶךְ כָּל־הָאָרֶץ/halak bederek kol haolam. It is interesting, for Israel’s scattered remnant to note the word הָלַךְ halak “I go” in relation to the word Halakha (translated as “Jewish Law,” although a more literal and appropriate translation would be “the path that one walks/trods.” The word is derived from the Hebrew root Hei-Lamed-Kaf, meaning to go, to walk or to travel. I&I Trod)-Conduct
Also, it is remarkable that דֶּרֶךְ derek “the way” is used in conjunction with הֹלֵךְ halak. The combination of the two words refers us to Psalm 119/תהילים קיט. This celebrated Psalm has several peculiarities. It is divided into twenty-two parts or stanzas, denoted by the twenty-two letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Each stanza contains eight verses, and the first letter of each verse is that which gives name to the stanza. Its contents are mainly praises of God’s Word, exhortations to its perusal, and reverence for it, prayers for its proper influence, and complaints of the wicked for despising it. These terms are of various derivations, but here used, for the most part, synonymously, though the use of a variety of terms seems designed, in order to express better the several aspects in which our relations to the revealed word of God are presented.
