Parashah 5 Haiye Sarah (חַיֵּי שָׂרָה) Part 1

Sarah

During this portion we give great honor to The Matriarch of Our Nation: Sarah in Genesis 23 (For complete Parashah Overview please visit our Brother Site at http://rastafarirenaissance.wordpress.com/2014/11/14/5th-%e1%8a%ad%e1%8d%8d%e1%88%8d%d7%a4%d7%a8%d7%a9%d7%94-study-ras-tafari-renaissance-revelations/  for Audio Reasonings within the Khaberim (חֲבֵרִים) “Community” Makhaber (ማኅበር) “Society” please visit our Brother Site Discipleship Radio at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/discipleshipradi0/2014/11/16/rastafari-sabbathical-studies-rss5-parsha-overview )

There are many great applicable lessons we may learn from studying the “Pattern/Type” tabneyt (תַּבְנִית) Abnet (አብነት) in the Life of Our Patriarch and Matriarch Abraham and Sarah. Sarah was a faithful sister-wife and companion of Abraham. Yet, in honoring her life, one object lesson that needs to be better understood, in proper context, is how YHWH, bestowed grace Grace upon her and Abraham and restored the Divine Balance between Man and Woman. To gain this understanding, one historical fact that must be considered is that of the ignorantly excessive and carnal “‘Pantheistic goddess worship:’ worshipping the created and not recognizing the Tri-Unity of the Creator” culture that Abram and Sarai were called out of, in Ur of Chaldees or the civilization of Akkad (Sumer, Mesopotamia) and also in other areas please see link http://goddessinspired.wordpress.com/2012/06/10/inanna-sumerian-mother-goddess-queen-of-heaven-and-earth/

see also http://www.spiralgoddess.com/IsIs.html   (NOTE: Any views, contained within these articles, regarding Qidist Dingl Mariam  “Holy Virgin Mary” are presented from a very confused frame of reference. However, we do make mention that this very Innana figure has infiltrated the apostate Church, via the whitewashed image of Lucrezia posing as Holy Virgin Mary. Research into the historical life of The Borgia Family will reveal an eerie resemblance to the Innana Mythos http://europeanhistory.about.com/od/italyandthecitystates/a/The-Borgias.htm) We will see in upcoming Sabbath Studies a pattern of YHWH calling out His Elect when a civilization’s spirituality becomes carnal, morally corrupted and chaotic. It may serve the audience well to review and reconsider Genesis 12-23 from this frame of reference (especially Genesis 12:10-20 compare with Genesis Chapter 20 paying attention to Abraham’s response to Abimelech in verse 11 And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of Elohim is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife’s sake.) This is not to say there is no aspect of the Divine Feminine (see Proverbs Chapter 31), as The Righteous Father, Mother and Child is a fractal of Divinity in Phi-cycle (The definition of righteousness being set forth in Roman, 5:17, 1 Corinthians 1:30, 5:17, 21). However, from a Hebrew Scientific perspective, the manifestation of this aspect, in the cultures mentioned above, became extremely skewed to the point of creating confusion “Babel” (בָּבֶל) and socially destructive. This is not to say that Abram and Sarai were active participants in these practices, in fact The Kebra Negast Chapter 14 would indicate otherwise (Please see Lekh Lekha Article for information and Link) Nonetheless, Abram and Sarai being in such an environment and being exposed to such customs may have unconsciously been mentally affected by these customs. Thus, just as Abram and Sarai were called out of Ur, it is another lesson for us, who have been “spiritually called out” of the present time carnal corruption and confusion to remain conscious and reflect on The Word so we are able to detect these “anomalies” within our own thinking.

Ecclesiastes 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

For the purpose of this article, suffice it to cite in Genesis 17:5 & 15), where we will practice utilizing Hebrew code for this dissemination. First, note the verses are number 5 “The Number of Grace” and 15 “Triple Grace”. In these two verses, we see that Abram and Sarai both received the (ה) Hebrew letter He [pronounced Hay] (which symbolize Breathing out “Spirit” [this is evident when correctly pronounced.  The letter also has a germatria value of 5. In the Covenant Name of Ha Elohim, YHWH (Yod Hay Waw Hay, we see there are 2 “Hay’s”. Thus YHWH imparted Grace in the name change of Abram to Abraham and Sarai to Sarah. The blessing to Abraham is ” for a father of many nations have I made thee.” and to Sarah is ” I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her”. It is also interesting to note that the previous goddess worship was abolished by YHWH as the “Yad/Yod-The Hand of YHWH” was removed from the name of Sarai (שָׂרַי) and replaced with the He becoming Sarah (שָׂרָה) restoring Divine balance and order between Man and Woman (see Ephesians 5:23 compare Genesis 16:2). (Regarding Hagar and Ishmael, the author is not questioning YHWH’s Divine Plan or making any presumptions of the outcome, we dare not, but merely presenting the evidence of objective lessons revealed in HIS WORD.)

Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Moving forward to the actual Parashah reading of Hayei Sarah. We find a very important objective lesson in moving forward in Life, even during times of significant loss, when YHWH declares one phase of our trod on this earth complete. To discern this lesson we will need to contemplate the metaphysics of the matter, by referring to a few definitions.

We find in Genesis 24:2  And Sarah died in Kirjatharba (Qiryath Arba קִרְיַת  אַרְבַּע “City of Four” Qiryath from the root Qarah (קָרָה): to encounter, meet, to befall, to build with beams, Arba is translated as 4 signifying [The Taw (ת) or Cross (x,+ in the (Paleo-Hebrew) with a gematria value of 4], ; the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan: and Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her. (For 30 day prescribed time of mourning and proper observance see Deuteronomy 34:8 and Fetha Negast [ፍትሐ ነገሥት] “Law of the Kings” Chapter 22)

-Hebron is defined according to Charles Fillmore’s Metaphysical Dictionary: Hebron, united; joined together; conjunction; cemented; welded; bound by a common bond; friendship; brotherhood; company; community; confederation; league; alliance. (This is very similar to the sense of Tewahede (ተዋሐደ) to be united, as well as Khaberim and MaKhaber) The place where Abram “dwelt by the oaks of Mamre” (Gen. 13:18). In the Promised Land. Hebron became a city of Judah, having been given to “Caleb the son of Jephunneh for an inheritance” Metaphysical. An association of ideas; in other words, concentration. Hebron also means friendship, brotherhood. Spiritual unfoldment always causes one to give to God’s children everywhere a kindly feeling that is constant, deep, tender. Hebron typifies the front brain, the seat of conscious thought. When the Lord told David to go up to the cities of Judah, and especially to Hebron, he was pointing the way to a harmonious cooperation between the indwelling love in the heart and the understanding in the head.

-Thus we may interpret that Abraham came upon a crossroad in Life (so to speak) by encountering the grievious passing of beloved Sarah.  As we will see, Abraham could have fell into complete despair but rather, signified by being in Hebron, living life through faith in the spiritual unfoldment that YHWH had graciously guided him to Abraham was able to rely on that kindly feeling that is constant deep and tender, thereby overcoming the situation with indwelling love in his heart and understanding in his mind.

Our Master (Adonenu) Yeshua gives as a very clear command in Matthew 16:24, Luke 9:23 and Mark 8:34 “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”

In verse 3 & 4 we read. ” And Abraham stood up (Quwm קוּם: To arise: to become powerful) from before his dead, and spake unto the sons of Heth,(חֵת “Terror” from the root Khathath (חָתַת): to be shattered, be dismayed, be broken, be abolished, be afraid/[compare with the imperative commandment “Be Strong and of Good Courage”: http://www.blueletterbible.org/search/search.cfm?Criteria=be+good+courage&t=KJV#s=s_primary_0_1 ], also compare with “Sin/Missing the mark” Chatath [חַטָּאָת] in which the Taw is replaced with Tet (טָּ)  and includes an (אָ)  Ayin “eye”/ To learn more about the Masoretic Hebrew script and thought please see Link: http://www.hebrew4christians.com/Grammar/Introduction/introduction.html  )  saying, I am a stranger and a sojourner with you: give me a possession of a buryingplace with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight. The words “bury my dead out of my sight” is again emphasized in Verse 8.

In verse 8 we read: ” And he communed with them, saying, If it be your mind that I should bury my dead out of my sight; hear me, and intreat for me to Ephron the son of Zohar,”

Definition for Ephron: fawnlike; gazellelike; quick; volatile; spirited a Son of Zohar, of the children of Heth, from whom Abraham bought the cave of Machpelah to bury Sarah in (Gen. 23:8). b A range of hills on the northern border of Judah, in Canaan (Josh. 15:9). /Metaphysical: A phase of thought that is very impulsive, light, airy, and quick to change its thinking base (gazellelike, quick, volatile, spirited). When going through an inner experience wherein
some much cherished soul quality or phase of thought that has finished its work for the time being must be released from consciousness, one may have a tendency to grieve and to hold to the good that seems to be becoming inactive in one’s life. Then the thought activity that Ephron signifies comes to one’s rescue. It aids one in making the necessary change and in letting go of the old. (Sarah died in Hebron, and it was in Hebron that Abraham bargained with Ephron for the cave of Machpelah in which to bury Sarah.
Hebron signifies the front brain or seat of conscious thought; also a certain association or alliance of
thought. (Author Note: Regarding the TAW (ת,x,+) and Kirjatharba “City of Four” see Revelation 7:3) Abraham suggests the awakening of man’s mind to higher ideals, and hills also signify high places in consciousness–lofty thoughts and ideals.

-The object lesson is that Abraham did not fall into depression, which is a very bad state of mind many of us may find ourselves in from time to time whatever the circumstances. Rather, he was able to mourn, be inspired to look forward and continue to sew and reap, as we will see in Chapter 25 when Abraham is blessed with a lineage from Keturah.

In concluding this reasoning we feel it proper to observe this principle lesson as demonstrated by The King of Kings Our Father, in Christ, Qedamawi Haile Sellassie Hebrew King upon The Throne of David, by giving heed to the utterance from H.I.M. during the occasion and observance of the passing of Our Queen of Queens Menen Asfaw.

Passing of Empress Menen
Thursday, February 15, 1962
We are pleased with the speech Our Prime Minister delivered yesterday on behalf of Our Ministers and Our people concerning the demise of Her Imperial Majesty Itegue Menen in which he adequately described her kindness and virtues.
All of you knew her well but she was more intimately known by I. She was devoutly religious and did not lose her faith even in the time of hardship. During the memorable days of Our companionship We never had differences that needed the intervention of others. As Sarah was to Abraham, so was she obedient to I. Our wishes were mutual until we were separated by the Almighty. Her assistance for the good of the young, the old and the needy requires no testimony for they are greater than thoughts and words. We have been extremely pleased to live long enough in the perfect union that enabled us to see our offspring, our grandchildren and our great grandchildren. We are thankful to the Almighty for having vouchsafed to us that long uninterrupted union which is not very common in the world today: There could be no more profound prayer for I to utter. In spite of Our utmost efforts efforts to save her life in her time of illness, she was overtaken by the fate of Adam and passed away.We cannot fly in the face of the Almighty, nor can We afford to be idle. Now that the time of mourning has come to an end, the public and our officials must attend to their duties. As idleness is injurious to the welfare of the country, as from Monday everyone should return to his work.A large number of people have come from the Provinces to take part in Our mourning. Since We do not wish them to continue because this will disrupt normal life, it would be better for them to send two or three representatives with letters. We are deeply touched by the expressions of grief both on the part of Our people and the foreign communities. This is not the first time that Our people have joined Us in Our mourning. When Our beloved son, Prince Makonnen, passed away they expressed their grief in no less measure that We ourselves. They have even contributed of their own free will to erect a monument in his honour.

We pray the Almighty shall recompense you for your deeds.

When Itegue was sick the general public, following the events through the radio, shared Our anxiety. To the doctors and her personal attendants We owe a debt for their untiring assistance. May these tears We shed be accepted by God as price for peace in Ethiopia and in the world.
