In this Sabbath Portion Study W(V)ayetze ,(“and He went out”), it becomes evident that Torah is not only a foundation for Divine Ethics, History, Math, Law and other indispensable elements of society and culture but also reveals the fundamental design of the “Soul” (Nephesh [נֶפֶשׁ]/psyche [ψυχή] FEMALE IN ENERGY: Thoughts, Feelings, Desires, Emotions [:WHICH TRANSLATES TO OUTWARD ACTIONS such as SPEECH AND BEHAVIORS] and Will (in other words THE SELF); This is  Symbolized by The 5 pointed Star becoming perverted or in a falling state when inverted or polarized to evil spirits or “influences”. The example of this inverted condition is, presently, far too prevalent and even glorified by those whom utilize the satanic pentagram as a sigil. It must be distinguished that Man/Wombman is a Tripartate creation of Ha-Elohim (Genesis 2:7 “And YHWH “HE Who BE Who HE Be” (יְהוָה) Elohim (אֱלֹהִים The Tri-Une Creative Source) formed man (Tripartite Creation: Spirit/Soul/Body) of the dust of the ground (Body), and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (Holy Spirit/Ruakh HaQodesh רוח הקודש MALE IN ENERGY) and man became a living soul.” /Genesis 1:27 “So HaElohim created man in his own image, in the image of HaElohim created HE him; male and female created he them.” [NOTE THIS IS BEFORE THE ACCOUNT OF HaElohim forming Eve: The phi-cycle female gender, in Genesis 2:22]) Although, “modern psychology” (in which the author has obtained a Bachelor of Science in “Experimental Psychology/Statistical Analysis”) generally admits that the discipline isn’t able to discern between Soul and Spirit. The Gospel “New Testament” reveals otherwise. We find, in Hebrews 4:12, “For the Word of HaElohim is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Perhaps, Sigmund Freud despite all his delusions and folly was the closest in approximating this pattern in his psychoanalytic thesis regarding the Super Ego, Ego, Id ( Please see Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Id,_ego_and_super-ego  ). For those who profess the Title of RasTafari it would be advised to grasp the concept that the Word Sound of I&i is in reference to the individual Spirit (I) and Soul (i) before attempting to advance to the concept I&I which is pertaining to each individual’s Sanctified Spirit as members of The Body of Christ or The Invisible church, The Order of MelkeTzedek after The Pattern of Levi for which Yeshua HaMashiakh ALONE is High Priest see Hebrews Chapter 5 and 7 (also understand the type laid out in the Mishkan “Tabernacle”). ANY OTHER DOCTRINE IS EITHER DUE TO IGNORANCE, DISOBEDIENCE OR DEPCEPTION… IN REBELLION and DIRECT OPPOSITION TO THE TEACHING OF HIS MAJESTY…POINT BLANK..PERIOD!! Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved to HaElohim, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.

This study is a development in progress of practical application and does not follow the fossilized rites and rituals of modern day religion, which are not without there place and order but unless performed with proper understanding and application hold very little intrinsic value and become another form of bondage. Yeshua HaMashiakh (Jesus Christ) “YAH’s Anointed Salvation….for Our Souls” clearly warned of this in Matthew 23: Then spake Yeshua to the multitude, and to his disciples,Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat:All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.”

Before proceeding, we would like to make a clear point for any practitioner or aspirant, in the field of “psychology” (SOUL LOGIC “Science of Word”) whether pursuing by means of institutional academia or as an existentialist, whom may read this article in regards to the inefficacy of dispensing or consuming pharmaceuticals as a means of treating soul ailments, so that they may research the malignant motivations within the industry (in particular: Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors, Tri-cyclic Anti-Depressants, Benzodiazepines, MonoAmine Inhibitors, Amphetamine derived prescriptions etc. etc. which inevitably result in mental and physiological alteration and dependency: Suggestion=Study the Latin/Greek root of these formulas and generic names). Also, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to consider studying the Bible to seek out the Divine healing provided within The Word of Our Creator, or at least incorporating it into a more holistic approach to treating the soul. The author makes this statement and testimony as both a victim and having experienced the damage that these so-called medications can create in a persons life. The Gospel, in the Book of Revelation, the word sorceries is mentioned twice as follows: Revelation 9:21 “Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”/ Revelation 18:23 “And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.” Of course, these 2 verses are rich in content and application. However, in the Peshat (פשט) “plain reading” the word sorceries is clearly revealed as Pharmakeia (φαρμακεία: the use or the administering of drugs; poisoning; sorcery, magical arts, often found in connection with idolatry and fostered by it. metaphor. the deceptions and seductions of idolatry)

Moving forward, it should be pointed out that in this Sabbath Portion we learn, from The Wisdom of Torah, that Healing for the Soul is dependent on Spiritual Growth. This is a process which there is seldom a quick fix for, unless YHWH-Elohim in HIS Sovereign Right, chooses to have mercy on whom HE will and perform a “miracle” by imparting HIS Grace “undeserved merit” on the person who places FAITH in HIM.  During this study, we learn that Yeshua HaMashiakh “Jesus Christ” the Anointed Salvation, for Our Soul, is revealed. The revelation of full salvation for humanity, in and through the Person of The Son, is beyond the scope of this article as the author is also in a certain stage of growth, being guided by The Holy Spirit in a personal relationship with The Father through the Discipleship “Taking on the Discipline” of The Son. It must be made clear that this is the Teaching of Qedamawi Haile Sellassie, upon the Throne of David (The revelation of The “Face/Presence” Panyim (פָּנִים) of The Father United with The Son by The Holy Spirit…for one’s who can receive it see The Shema Deuteronomy 6:4 Shema Yishrael! YaHWeH “The Father” Eloheinu “‘Your Power’ The Son” YaHWeH “The Holy Spirit” Ahad “are united as ONE” שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ יְהוָה אֶחָֽד׃ /as pertaining to Eloheinu or Elohekha “Our Power” as in John 15:5  Yeshua states “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”/ Qedamawi Haile Sellassie reminds us  “… may our kin and brothers who will rise up in the future take note of the word You have spoken “For without me you can do nothing” (Excerpt Preface to My Life and Ethiopia’s Progress, Autobiography of Haile Selassie I).  The following explication of Parashah Vayetza is merely to illuminate aspects of Scripture that may contribute to any individual’s comprehension of personal tri-partite growth and development by study and contemplation of The Living Word, for which personal discipleship is required. The reader should find comfort by Faith, regardless of their soul psychological “soul state” as Yeshua HaMashiakh has already declared in John 6:17 “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” If ones sincerely pray to The Father asking to “receive” Qabalah (קַבָּלָה) Wisdom (Hokmah חָכְמָה) through the Holy Spirit in The Name of The Son, NO DOUBT!!!, one’s will receive it as they are able in there stage of growth (see Exodus 31:3 compare with John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son).

-Sabbath Psalm 21 YHWH’s Salvation 


In the scheme of Divine Conspiracy (Breathing Together), our Psalms Reading for the Sabbath Day was Psalms 21, where YHWH in Verse 1 & 5 (KJV) 2 & 6 (MSS) emphasizes to us “the Name” HaShem () Yeshua (highlighted in above photo) by which we receive the salvation of YHWH. The verses read as follows :1 [[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.]] The King shall joy in thy strength, O YHWH; “and in thy salvation” (webeYESHUAtekha/וּבִישׁוּעָתְךָ)  how greatly shall he rejoice! 5: His glory is great “in thy salvation” (beYESHUAtekha/בִּישׁוּעָתֶךָ) : honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.

Although this portion certainly reflects the outward reality of the historically evidenced and prophetically announced captivity of the true flesh descendants of “black” Israel, there is much knowledge and wisdom to be acquired by all people, regardless of nation in Salvation “BeYeshua’ (See Isaiah 49:6/Luke 2:30-32).  The most profound being that of AmanueL or The Presence of Power (El (אל) Haile (ኀይል) being with us (Genesis 28:11-17), during our spiritual growth as Jacob is a type for. Jacob is blessed through his Faith but not yet fully mature. (Romans 8:16The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God) It isn’t until Jacob leaves Haran that he wrestles with “The Man” (who Jacob realizes is the “Presence”/Panyim of Ha-Elohim or the pre-incarnate Yeshua) that he receives the name Israel (Genesis 32:24-30). In the previous parashah study, we learned to identify 2 types of spirit in man/wombman being, in type, that of Jacob and Esau. This portion introduces 2 types/phases of the soul by depicting Rachel and Leah as types.

Genesis 28:10-22

In verse 10, we see Jacob leaving out of Beer Sheba (בְּאֵר שָׁבַע)  “Well of the Oath “Covenant”/Well of the Seven” and wander towards Haran (from the root Kharar חָרַר: to be burnt, hot, scorched//compare with Isaiah 48:10 “Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.”) This verse, in itself, typifies the developing Spirit wandering from the perpetual Covenant of Sabbath Rest (Sheba 7) in Yeshua the Living Water (see Matthew 11:28-30, John 4:14/7:37-39). A pronounced lesson (for those who may be in the higher phases of development in Christ Consciousness) may be to remain in Beer Sheba. However, (for those of us in the phases of infancy) may realize that our Soul, typified in Rachel and Leah may be in dwelling in Haran with Laban. By a character study of Laban( in the subsequent Chapters 29-31) we can see that Laban represents a type of adversarial mentality manifesting deception, bondage and greed (Pathology: Pathos “Sufferings” Logos “Word”. Thus, the it is necessary for the developing Spirit of Jacob to enter Haran exhaust the substance of Laban and bring the developing Soul of Leah and Rachel into The Covenant Land.

Verse 11 seems, for the second time in this portion, to allude to the Sabbath rest. This deduction is made because the verse specifically mentions “because the sun was set”.  Also the word sleep in Hebrew is Shakab (שָׁכַב: to rest). The words He “lighted” [Paga (פָּגַע) is to reach a certain mark.] upon a certain “place” [Maqowm (מָקוֹם) from the root Quwm (קוּם): to raise, set up, erect, build] is especially interesting when compared to the Amharic word used Sefra (ስፍራ). The author poses the question: Did Jacob merely reach an actual physical location of geography on The Sabbath or is this verse referring to a “Sephirot/focus of energy” in his body where he elevated from reaching a “Christ Consciousness”?

In verse 12 Jacob “dreamed” (Khalam חָלַם: to restore to health). It is unclear what the ladder (sulam סֻלָּם) actually is. Some have interpreted The Ladder as the Spinal cord, in relation to neurological pathways. This may be a reasonable interpretation being that “angels of God” Malaki Elohim (מַלְאֲכֵי אֱלֹהִים) ascending and descending if interpreted as Malak “Messengers/from this perspective neurotransmitters” of the Elohim “Tripartite works or special possessions of God” are describing the mental and physiological processes of man/womb-man during an experience in “Christ Consciousness” and the level of heavens, mentioned here, being the mind (Please contemplate the following link:  http://letusreason.org/Biblexp130.htm ). This proposal may gain more creditability is we look at the word “set up” natzab (נָצַב) which refers to “standing” or “Our Standing” in the Covenant as we will gain more insight into when we study Parashah 51 Natzabiym (נִצָּבִים) “One’s Standing” (Deuteronomy 29:9-30:20)


In Verses 13-15: The Preincarnate Yeshua gives Jacob a blessing. We know that it was Presence of The Son at the “top of the ladder” as the New Covenant reading reveals this in John 1:50-51. A key to comprehending the blessing in Genesis 28:13-15 ” I am YHWH Elohe Abraham thy father, and the Elohe Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed. And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.” is to compare it with The instructions that Adonenu Yeshua gave to the Apostles, after Torah was fulfilled and Our Master was resurrected, in Matthew 28:18-20 “And Yeshua came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” The parable in Matthew 13 is also a recommended study, in particular Verses 31-32 “The Parable of The Kingdom of Heaven and the Mustard Seed”, the mustard seed being the Faith in The Word.

Verses 16-18 regarding the “gate of Heaven” Sha’ar HaShamayim (שַׁעַר הַשָּׁמָֽיִם) is a bit complex, as it likely gets into the subject matter of the Hebrew Science of thoughts, WORD activated neuro-melanin “God-Particle” (The Aleph-Taw) and the intricacies of Spiritual and Phi-Cycle inter-relatedness, it would be difficult to comprehend these aspects without doing a diligent study of the afore-mentioned topics. Let it suffice, for the present time, to examine verses 18-22, as it sets a good foundation for this insight.

In contemplating the above diagram let us consider the reasonings of some of the Rabbi’s “Scholars” who have preceded us: Rav Huna asked in Rabbi Ammi‘s name why Genesis 28:11 assigns to God the name “the Place.” Rav Huna explained that it is because God is the Place of the world (the world is contained in God, and not God in the world). Rabbi Jose ben Halafta taught that we do not know whether God is the place of God’s world or whether God’s world is God’s place, but from Exodus 33:21, which says, “Behold, there is a place with Me,” it follows that God is the place of God’s world, but God’s world is not God’s place. Rabbi Isaac taught that reading Deuteronomy 33:27, “The eternal God is a dwelling place,” one cannot know whether God is the dwelling-place of God’s world or whether God’s world is God’s dwelling-place. But reading Psalm 90:1, “Lord, You have been our dwelling-place,” it follows that God is the dwelling-place of God’s world, but God’s world is not God’s dwelling-place.)

In Verse 18, Jacob took “The Stone” ET-HaEben (אֶת־הָאֶבֶן AGAIN WE SEE THE ALEPH TAW) preceeding the designation for “Stone” Eben (אֶבֶן). Jacob sets it apart by anointing it with “oil” Shemen (שֶׁמֶן) which is a symbolic type for The Holy Spirit. The “Stone” is also a symbol for the Spiritual Truth of Salvation we build on. The root of “Stone”/Eben being Banah (בָּנָה: to build) in the spiritual sense related to Binah (בינה: understanding). There are very many instances in Scripture where stones are applied to this principle, such as Exodus 28:12, Deuteronomy 27:2-4 in relation to Joshua 4:3. However, one must take heed of the admonishment in Psalms 118:22 “The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.” compare with Matthew 21:42.

In Verse 19, we see Jacob calling “the place” [or Sefra (ስፍራ), perhaps related to “Book/Scrolls compare with Revalation 5:1/5:5” Sefer (סֵפֶר)] Beyt El (בֵּית־אֵל) or The Habitation/Temple of the “Power” Hayle (ኀይል). where as before it was called Luz (לוּז Almond Tree). Our Rabbi Yad Veshem (a.k.a. Ras Iadonis Tafari) pointed out that as the branches of the almond tree are grow into a tangled pattern this would symbolize the twisted state of confusion in an individual’s mental constructs before realizing the “Christ Consciousness” within. The Author would concur with this teaching by examining the almond tree in relation to the neurological pathology of the human brain within paradigms and under the influence of habituation that does not admit in “Christ Consciousness” guided by The Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 6:14-19, in particular, verse 19 sets out the general explication of this thought: “ What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have of HaElohim, and ye are not your own?” Yes! Like Jacob in Genesis 28 verse 17, we may be a bit overwhelmed when we come upon this realization” 

For the sake of edifying “building” Our Family in Christ who may be now encountering this stage of growth, the author would like to share an excerpt from A Normal Christian Life by Watchman Nee that was very helpful during the author’s struggle when confronted with this Truth and gain a better understanding of the Old Covenant Sacrifice Types necessary for The Levites to perform services in the Temple (Leviticus 8:22-34). “Now I desire to say a word at this point to my younger brethren (sistren) in the Lord, for it is here that we often get into difficulties. As unbelievers we may have been wholly untroubled by our conscience until the Word of God began to arouse us. Our conscience was dead, and those with dead consciences are certainly of no use to God. But later, when we believed, our awakened conscience may have become acutely sensitive, and this can constitute a real problem to us. The sense of sin and guilt can become so great, so terrible, as almost to cripple us by causing us to lose sight of the true effectiveness of the Blood. It seems to us that our sins are so real, and some particular sin may trouble us so many times, that we come to the point where to us our sins loom larger than the Blood of Christ. Now the whole trouble with us is that we are trying to sense it; we are trying to feel its value and to estimate subjectively what the Blood is for us. We cannot do it; it does not work that way. The Blood is first for God to see. We then have to accept God’s valuation of it. In doing so we shall find our valuation. If instead we try to come to a valuation by way of our feelings we get nothing; we remain in darkness. No, it is a matter of faith in God’s Word. We have to believe that the Blood is precious to God because He says it is so (1 Peter 1:18, 19). If God can accept the Blood as a payment for our sins and as the price of our redemption, then we can rest assured that the debt has been paid. If God is satisfied with the Blood, then the Blood must be acceptable. Our valuation of it is only according to His valuation—neither more nor less. It cannot, of course, be more, but it must not be less. Let us remember that He is holy and He is righteous, and that a holy and righteous God has the right to say that the Blood is acceptable in His eyes and has fully satisfied Him. In summing up Genesis 28, again, the representation of The Tri-Unity of Father, Son, Holy Spirit is evident through the depiction in this Chapter. In Verse 13, The Presence of The Son being at the “top of the ladder” (John 9:51) In Verse 18 The Holy Spirit “Oil” sanctified “the stone” In Verse 21, “House” EL-Beyt (אֶל־בֵּית) a reflection of Beyt-EL (בֵּֽית־אֵל) Abi (אָבִי) being “My Father” (where in verse 13 Abraham is mentioned as Father not specifically Isaac: “Lord God of your Father Abraham”/YHWH Elohe Abraham Abikha/יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי אַבְרָהָם אָבִיךָ), and we have seen in the previous portions studies that Abraham is a type of Our Father Qedamawi Haile Sellassie.


Genesis 29 Rachel and Leah as Types/Phases in Soul Development.

In Verse 1: Jacob, as a type of personal spiritual unfolding, on his “journey” regel (רֶגֶל: foot, leg/of God (anthropomorphic)/of seraphim, cherubim, idols, animals, table/according to the pace,/of three times; From the root Ragal רָגַל to go on foot, spy out, foot it, go about, walk along, move the feet ) came to the land of the people of the “east” Qedem (קֶדֶם ancient time, aforetime, ancient, from of old, earliest time, Metaphysical. In Scriptural symbology east represents the within. As used in Matthew 2:1 the word in the original is plural; the significance therefore is that from the regions of interior wisdom come thoughts of reverence and rich gifts of substance and understanding and every spiritual help for the holy Life, the Christ Child, that has begun its growth in the consciousness.) Within the context of the definitions provided we may deduce that spiritual development or growth takes us within to begin exploring and seeking out ancient or archetypal wisdom or truth (Carl Jung having attempted to explore this reality in his works in the study of psychology, however deviating into convoluted mythologies and missing Yeshua, thereby missing the mark (sin)).

In Verses 2-9, from a psychological approach it becomes crucial to discern the symbolic metaphors being utilized. Foremost, the use of “looking, sighting, beholding, seeing…etc.” (yireh יַּרְא to see, look at, inspect, perceive, consider) in biblical context invokes a sense of internal contemplation and discernment.

Secondly, the well is intricately connected with the above mentioned aspects of sight as the Hebrew word (be’er בְּאֵר would indicate “in the perception”  ([be] meaning in and [‘er] being a contracted form of yireh also the root Ba’ar בָּאַר would be to make plain, distinct, to make clear, to declare, letters on a tablet [compare with 2 Corinthians 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God “HaElohim Haiyim” ; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.)

Next the symbology of  “Flocks” (eder עֵדֶר from the root adar עָדַר to help to be lacking, fail/Spiritually Speaking these are our THOUGHTS) “Sheep” (Tzo’n צֹאן small cattle, sheep, sheep and goats, flock, flocks, of multitude) and water (Mayim מַיִם of danger, violence, transitory things, refreshment) have a intimate esoteric relationship. The symbolism is defined as thus: Sheep: Sheep are the most harmless and innocent of animals. They represent the natural life that flows into man’s consciousness from Spirit. It is pure, innocent, guileless, and when we open our mind to this realization of Spirit life we open the gate by the sheep market. The good of the will is to do good from good; but the good of the understanding is to do good from truth. To those who do good from truth these two appear to be one and the same thing; but yet they differ much from each other; for to do good from good is to do it from the perception of good, and the perception of good exists solely with the celestial; whereas to do good from truth is to do it from memory-knowledge and the consequent understanding; but without the perception that it is so; and only because we have been so instructed by others, or by our own intellectual faculty have of ourselves arrived at the conclusion in question. This may indeed be a fallacious truth. (see John 14:6) Water: (Please see Metaphysical Bible Dictionary for complete interpretation) mental potentiality; it can also be understood as negation. The race thoughts have formed a sea of thought, and to walk over it safely requires that one have faith in oneself. Faith necessary to accomplish so great a work comes from understanding–understanding of God and man and the law of mastery given to man. GOD is the underlying principle of the universe, upholding all things by His word of power, by the omnipresent energy that permeates all creation. An understanding of God in His true character establishes the mind firmly in faith and causes the feet to walk safely over the sea of the mixed, negative thoughts of the race. Water also represents material cleansing, and fire represents spiritual cleansing. When John the Baptist baptized with water, he washed away the sins of an external character. He did not enter into the subconsciousness. It takes something more powerful than water to purify the error conditions accumulated by the soul in its many incarnations. The presence of God through Christ is necessary to purify this part of man.

From the context above, we are better able to grasp the undertone in Psalms 94:19 “ In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.” as well as decipher Genesis Verse 2 & 3 “And he looked, and behold a well in the field, and, lo, there were three flocks of sheep lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks: and a great stone was upon the well’s mouth. And thither were all the flocks gathered: and they rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, and watered the sheep, and put the stone again upon the well’s mouth in his place.” when compared with John 21:15-17  “Yeshua after His resurrection said to Peter (Petros: Rock, Stone=FAITH in it’s stages of development) , Feed My lambs; the second time He said, Feed My sheep; and the third time, Feed My sheep.” and Matthew 16:18 “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”

In Verse 6, Rachel (a type of/or phase of Soul development is introduced) coming with her Father’s flocks. It could be interpreted that in this phase the “flocks” or thoughts are heavily influenced by her Father Laban who, from a diligent character study, represents an overall unfavorable disposition manifesting deceptive behavior due to selfish motivations excused by utilizing general consensus of societal norms and mores, as a frame of reference.The Definition of the name Rachel and it’s representation of the soul is as follows: (Rakhel רָחֵל :migrating; journeying in droves; ewe; sheep; lamb/ Metaphysical. The feminine, receptive, or soul phase of the pure natural life in the organism of man (ewe, lamb). This phase of life that Rachel signifies is as yet in a transitory state (migrating). It is fruitful only on the higher, spiritual plane of ideas. (Rachel was for a time barren; her two sons, Joseph and Benjamin, were the result of prayer, and they represent the faculties of imagination and active faith. They, especially Joseph, were accepted above their brothers, the other sons of Jacob who were the offspring of Leah–the human soul–and the two handmaids. Jacob loved Joseph and Benjamin more dearly than his other sons.)

For the key to understanding verse 7 through 10 “And he said, Lo, it is yet high day, neither is it time that the cattle should be gathered together: water ye the sheep, and go and feed them. And they said, We cannot, until all the flocks be gathered together, and till they roll the stone from the well’s mouth; then we water the sheep”, we look again to The New Covenant in John 4: Yeshua speaking to The Samaritan woman at The Well especially verse 6 “Now Jacob’s well was there. Yeshua therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour (approximately 11 o’clock in Hebrew Calculation). It is highly recommended that the reader study the entire chapter to ascertain the full context.

However, in relation to this study, suffice it to note that Yeshua (as The Perfection of Spiritual development “typed in Jacob”) as “The Living Water” (see also John 7:37-38) was revealing a principle of communion with YHWH to the Samaritan woman (also a type of soul) by HIS words “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. YHWH is a Spirit: and they that worship HIM must worship HIM in spirit and in truth.” Thus, rolling away the stone (in Hebraic wordplay, eben אֶבֶן also defined as petrified with terror, perverse, hard heart) or admonishing her that she was putting faith in the faithless things of fossilized religion that had become a source of contention, in that day.

Verse 11 is especially beautiful as Jacob’s response to Rachel if the depiction is perceived as the developing spirit being united with the soul.

In Verse 16 Leah is introduced. The name is defined as follows (לֵאָה weary; exhausted; faint; sluggish Metaphysical. The human soul.)

Perhaps, one of the most wonderful realizations of in the developing Human Soul, that testifies YHWH’s tender mercy and loving kindness that endureth forever,  is depicted in Verse 31-35. This prescription for Healing in and through Master in Medicine Yeshua HaMashiakh is given in the names of the “Children” ( Metaphysical: The thoughts of reality or the true ideas about Being that have to be brought out in every part of man’s consciousness.) that Leah (Soul), in her distress gives birth to (being impregnated by Jacob [Spirit in development] , by The Grace “undeserved merit” of YHWH.  

Reuben (רְאוּבֵן The Soul realizes that HaElohim “GOD”‘s presence and that he  sees our situation or condition)

Shimeon (שִׁמְעוֹן The Soul realizes that HaElohm “GOD” hears and is responsive to our prayers and supplications)

Lew(v)i (לֵוִי The Soul becomes joined to the Husband ([Y’lawah A’yish יִלָּוֶה אִישִׁי ] who Christ the Bridegroom see Parashah 6 Toldeot Article)

Y(J)ehudah (יְהוּדָה The Soul gives praise!)

“Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” who can resist an invitation so full of compassion? Because of this personal experience in the goodness of the Bible, I was resolved that all my countrymen should also share its great blessing and that by reading the Bible they should find truth for themselves. Therefore, I caused a new translation to be made from our ancient language into the language which the old and the young understood and spoke. Today man sees all his hopes and aspirations crumbling before him. He is perplexed and knows not whither he is drifting. But he must realise that the Bible is his refuge, and the rallying point for all humanity. In it man will find the solution of his present difficulties and guidance for his future action, and unless he accepts with clear conscience the Bible and its great Message, he cannot hope for salvation. For my part I glory in the Bible.
